Our Equality Caucus Institute Leadership Academy will:

Place fellows on the Hill and in national 501(c)(3) organizations to train early and mid-career policy professionals to nurture their understanding of LGBTQI+ issues.

Create a strong, supportive network of alumni consisting of our Fellows, Interns, and Staff who have come through the Institute to connect up-and-coming professionals with those who have experience and expertise in LGBTQI+ issues.

Build up a cadre of young people interested in pursing a career in defending LGBTQI+ rights by creating an Internship program for current students and recent graduates to give them experience on the Hill.

Our Center for Policy & Research will:

Provide in-depth background research on national issues of importance to the LGBTQI+ community with the goal of seeking to advance equity, fairness, and safety.

Convene policy conversations and conferences with a diverse group of stakeholders to create stronger movement alignment and shape more robust communication channels among our network of key stakeholders, advocates, and policymakers.

Shape a more diverse narrative around LGBTQI+ issues to demonstrate the full range of the queer community, unique forms of discrimination members face, and the intersections of identities like race, class, national origin, etc.

Work closely with movement partner to develop and align coherent messaging strategies that serve to build support for key federal initiatives, including polling, research, and message testing.
